Have you ever felt that your eyes are tired but the rest of your body isn’t? Do you often catch yourself squinting and putting in a lot of effort to see things more clearly? It’s safe to say that most of us is or has experienced headaches in our lives. Some mild, some severe, but always uncomfortable.
Rest, over the counter medications, caffeine, or a large intake of water are some of the things we do to resolve the headache, but what about ways to prevent headaches?
We recommend that everyone has a pair of updated prescription glasses with an anti-reflective coating on them. There are two types of anti-reflective coatings- Prevencia that blocks the harmful blue UV lights from digital products, and Saphirre 360 that cuts the most glare from every angle (helpful especially when driving at night).
Another helpful suggestion that we often recommend is the Rule of 20. Every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away, for 20 seconds. This gives a chance for your eyes to take a small break in between those prolonged periods of reading and computer work.
We hope this helps with the strain and discomfort we often experience throughout our 8-12 hour days. If you have any further issues or would like to discuss your eye strain with a doctor, simply schedule an appointment for a full comprehensive eye examination below!
We hope to SEE you soon!
