Having monocular vision checks as part of your daily routine can be helpful to keep track of your sight and health of your eye. It’s recommended to be done once a day and approximately at the same time. Easiest to remember is first thing in the morning while drinking your coffee or having breakfast. It only takes a few seconds and is easy to do!
To perform a monocular vision check, cover one eye at a time to evaluate the quality of your vision. It is best to look at something that is within your daily routine such as the television or newspaper. If you notice a decrease in vision, increase in eyestrain, distortion, peripheral vision loss, or anything out of the ordinary, it’s best to make an appointment with your Eye Care Provider.
