Punzal Vision Christmas Party 2021 was a success, and SO much fun!
Like always, Dr. Punzal and Brity kept the details of the Christmas party on the down-low and only gave us a few hints leading up to the party. This year, the only hints we were given were to wear layers and to watch three movies:
1. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
2. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
3. Alice in Wonderland.
Of course, we still had no idea what they were planning.
The day of the party, Dr. Punzal texted us exactly at midnight with questions about each of the movies. Whoever answered the questions correctly first would win a prize, and it was Dayna! She was able to answer the questions in just one minute! After this, we still didn’t know when the party was going to take place, or if it would even be that same day. Then Brity texted us at 4:39 AM and let us know we were to meet at the office at 8:39 AM. This gave us exactly 4 hours to prepare. She also gave each of us a small list of items to bring. When we got to the office, the person wearing the most layers won a prize - Brittney! She wore more than 25 layers! The person who arrived to the office first also won a prize - Keahi!
Then we were sent on a scavenger hunt. Our first stop was Kauai Museum, then Ha Coffee Bar, and lastly Aloha Ginger Beer. These places all held clues that led us back to the one and only… The Office! There were presents waiting for us, and we opened them to find Alice in Wonderland costumes! We got dressed, and Brity as the White Rabbit came running “I’m late I’m late!” and then we headed off on our very important date!
We ended up at Dr. and Brity’s property at Menehune Bluffs and saw a big white tent set up, all decked out with Alice in Wonderland theme. We had delicious tea party food catered by Chef Amanda Dela Cruz, amazing drinks from Pau Hana Pours, a beautiful candy cart set up by Sweet Shop by the Sea, and music by DJ Mike Dandurand from Kustom Sounds Kauai. Then we were joined by a special guest… the Mad Hatter! You might know him better as local comedian Zavier Cummings. We ate, drank, played games, and had a gift exchange. It was such a fun time and a great bonding experience for us co-workers!
Thank you Dr. Punzal and Brity! We’re already looking forward to next year.
