Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many care providers are utilizing Telehealth to provide medical care to patients. Punzal Vision remains open with adjusted hours and modified protocol for essential services, but in some situations, Dr. Punzal can provide Telehealth exams via FaceTime along with telephone communication through phone calls and text messages.
While the preferred method of evaluation remains a visit in order to provide the most comprehensive care with the specialized diagnostic equipment and direct evaluation by Dr. Punzal, telehealth is sometimes an option for patients. Usually, these visits are reserved for external or ocular complaints (eye redness, itching, irritation) rather than vision-related or medical issues that require face to face evaluation and diagnostic testing. Telehealth visits are limited to counseling and external evaluation combined with patient feedback.
