Presbyopia is farsightedness caused by loss of elasticity of the natural lens of the eye. This occurs for everyone around the age of 40. Do you have trouble reading a book, newspaper, or cell phone? Do you find yourself holding your reading material out further so the image becomes clearer?
These are signs that it may be time to obtain a prescription for up close.
This can be achieved by many different types of glasses: Progressive, Single Vision Near, or Office Lens. For our younger individuals, eyestrain and fatigue can also be experienced when doing prolonged periods of reading and computer work.
We would then recommend a small boost in power to help prevent that. This type of lens is called the Eyezen with levels 1-4. Regardless of the type of glasses, we recommend having the anti-reflective coating called Prevencia. This certain coating blocks the harmful Blue-UV rays that come off digital screens such as cell phones, ipads, computers, and tablets.
